- Documents Gather all the necessary documents for your application and make copies. Then, visit your nearest police station to get them certified. It’s best if these documents are no older than three months. For scanning, use an internet café rather than your phone, unless you have an iPhone.
- Application Fee You need to pay an application fee of R240. While you can apply and pay the fee later, your application won’t be processed until the fee is paid. Once you’ve paid, upload the payment slip to the TUT student portal and keep the slip safe for future reference.
How to Apply for 2025
Applying to TUT is straightforward if you follow these steps:

- Click “Apply Now”: Find and click the “Apply Now” tab.
- Agree to the Application Rules: Read and agree to the application rules to proceed.

- Enter Your Academic Results: Include your academic results, including subjects, and proceed.
- Provide Educational Institution Details: Enter details about your previous educational institutions and proceed.
- Choose Your Program Choices: You can select up to two programs using the “Add Qualification” option and then proceed.
- Review Your Application: Carefully review your application and confirm the details.
- Create a 5-Digit PIN: Create a secure 5-digit PIN, accept the terms, and submit your application.
- Upload Required Documents: Upload all the necessary documents. For each document, click “Load/View Document,” then “Upload Document,” locate and select your file, and click “Save.” Once all documents are uploaded, click “Complete Upload.”
- Confirmation Page: After completing these steps, you’ll see a confirmation page indicating that your application is complete.
